The Community of Futiva – Memorial Day at Ray Fosse Park

Community Marion, ILMemorial Day is the the unofficial start of summer. That means time with friends and family at the park and watching lots of Southern Illinois Miners baseball. That’s exactly what the team at Futiva did.

The city of Marion held an event called Memorial Day at Ray Fosse Park. Hundreds of people attended and participated in the variety of events, which included family fun like a goofy golf, a baseball clinic, a chance to meet the Miners’ mascots and live entertainment.

Futiva was front and center for the celebration. We were a proud sponsor of the event and enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of the Southern Illinois community.

“Futiva was created because of the dire need and demand of quality, affordable, high speed internet throughout our communities. Our staff lives, works and plays right here in Southern Illinois, which makes our commitment to growing our network even more important. We understand how quickly technology is changing and right now the only internet service that is “future-proof” is fiber. Deploying a fiber network is a huge investment, but one that we are willing to make. Futiva wants to see Southern Illinois grow and prosper and we know that fiber will play a vital role in helping the economic development of our communities for years to come.” – Mindi Kolts, Marketing Director.Futiva Community Marion, IL

After spending the day at Ray Fosse Park, our team went to Rent One Park to support the Southern Illinois Miners as they took on the Chicago Bandits in a scrimmage game. The future of Futiva took to the mound and threw out the opening pitch to get the evening started.

This is just a sample of the commitment Futiva has to the community. To learn more about how we will commit to helping you, contact us at 844-2Futiva. To see more photos for the day, check out our Facebook page!
